The beautiful antique house is located in the center of the small mountain village of Montecarlo in the province of Lucca and was extensively restored and converted into a guest house a few years ago. As soon as you enter the large hall, you will be greeted by a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The mix of antiques and typical Tuscan furnishing elements, paired with bright colors and beautiful fabrics, runs like a guide through all rooms of the nested house.
On the ground floor there is a spacious kitchen, which has retained its original character with its beautiful old fireplace and antique stone sink.
In the warm season you can sit outside in the small courtyard for breakfast. This courtyard is bordered on one side by part of the ancient city wall, which can be reached via a few steps. From there you have a wide view of the valley "Val di Nievole" up to the Appuan Alps.
There is also a large tavern in the basement of the house. This room, which served as a laboratory for the village pharmacist more than 100 years ago. It can be used for reading or playing (a selection of books, magazines and games is available). From there, a patio door leads to a second courtyard with tables and chairs.
The house has a very personal and family character and is appreciated by families with children (a paddling pool can be set up in the courtyard) as well as by groups of friends.
It is approximately 16 km to the city of Lucca, 60 km to Florence and 50 km to the sea at Viareggio.

Montecarlo (Lucca)

From our guests

Einfach toll!!!
