No holiday region is as varied as Tuscany. It offers postcard-ready idyllic landscapes with olive groves and Mediterranean mixed forests, kilometers of pine-lined sandy beaches, rugged rocky coasts, dreamy medieval mountain villages and, of course, the famous art-historical cities such as Florence, Pisa and Siena.
The Borgo di Montemurlo holiday resort in the municipality of Guardistallo is the ideal starting point for discovering as much of Tuscany as possible. It consists of various building complexes, which contain 17 holiday apartments of different sizes.
The architectural style has been modeled on typical rural architecture and thus fits perfectly into the landscape. As the complex is located on a hillside, away from busy streets, it is particularly impressive for its magnificent panorama.
From the houses you can see the ancient castle Castello Ginori di Querceto. At the highest point of the hill is the large pool area with its beautiful swimming pool (about 200 square meters) and the children's paddling pool. From here you can see a picture-book landscape with fields, vineyards and olive groves. For the younger guests are also some toys on a green area in front of the pool area available. Bathing fun and relax are definitely the repertoire of the holidays.
If you do not just want to indulge in idleness, you can choose a different excursion route for each day. It is also possible to choose between the famous Tuscan towns, which make the choice between Volterra about 25 km, San Gimignano about 60 km, Siena about 85 km, Pisa about 80 km, Lucca about 95 km, Florence approx 110 km.
It is also worth visiting some of the many small villages nearby, such as Bolgheri (famous for the miles of cypresses and the award-winning wine), Casale Marittimo, Querceto and Sassa. Here hobby photographers will enjoy themselfes, because when strolling through the narrow streets behind every corner a new exciting picture motif waits.
Of course trips to the nearby Tyrrhenian coast are not to be missed. The beaches of Cecina Mare (about 20 km) and Bibbona (about 20 km) can be reached in less than half an hour. It is well worth taking an evening walk by the sea and an aperitif in one of the many beach bars, watching the wonderful sunsets.

Every arrival and departure day can be booked throughout the season. The fantastic location with a view of the Castello di Querceto makes this complex unique / ideal for families with children, as there is plenty of space to play and the little ones will certainly quickly make new friends.
The last 700 meters of the access road are not asphalted and in the summer somewhat dusty. Furnishing and equipment of the apartments are a bit old.
