The nice town of Castellammare del Golfo in recent years has shaped up well to a popular holiday location. In the middle of the old town, in a residential corner building this completely restored accommodation is located at the second floor.
It is an ideal starting point for many activities in the surroundings such as Monreale, the famous cathedral, whose internal walls are covered by more than 6,000 m² of mosaics from the 12th century (about 55 km), to the beautiful Natural Reserve "Parco dello Zingaro" with its charming little coves (about 12 km) or to Segesta with the temple of the mythical people of the Elymer and the ruins of the Greek-Roman theater, which together form an impressive scenario (about 22 km).
In the evening you can take a walk through the romantic alleys of the historical centre and up to the little fishing harbour with it's pleasant restaurants and animate lounge bars.
Second floor - you enter the apartment from the staircase. From a small hallway you reach the bathroom with shower/WC as well as the bedroom with 2 single beds. Straight ahead you enter into the spacious living room with kitchenette (without door in between). From here you reach the second bedroom with a double bed and a narrow balcony from which you can see a small section of the sea. From the living room you also enter a narrow balcony furnished with a small table and 2 chairs. One looks into an alley and to the Inici mountain.

Final cleaning, the first set bed linen and towels are included. Additional change of linen € 10 per person. Use of the air conditioning is included. Deposit € 150.
Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot he give definite information about it.
Very friendly and hospitable owners / bakers, butchers, fruit and vegetables, as well as coffee bar and restaurants and the small fishing port are within walking distance.
In the summer, and especially on the weekends in low season, you will hear the bustle of the piazza at night / In the main season there are no free parking places near by the accommodation, but you can find some more distant.
Liebe Eva, liebe Jutta, dank eurer guten Wegbeschreibung und Vorbereitung haben wir problemlos unsere Unterkunft in Castallamare del Golfo, Ai Quattro Canti, gefunden: eine neuwertige großzügige Wohnung mitten im Städtchen mit einem sehr zuvorkommenden Vermieter, Giacomo, der immer ansprechbar ist. Wie angekündigt, hört man am Wochenende das nächtliche Treiben der Menschen in der Fußgängerzone. Jedoch entschädigt die fußläufige Nähe zu schönen Cafés, Restaurants und zum Hafen dafür. Castellamare del Golfo ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge, z.B. zum Strand (2 km), zur Ausgrabungsstätte Segesta, zum Schwefel-Thermalbad, zum Naturschutzgebiet Zingaro, nach Monreale mit seinen bunten Mosaiken und nach Palermo. Einmalig war, dass wir meinen Geburtstag Ende Oktober im T-Shirt im Freien in einem schönen Restaurant feiern konnten.
