If you would like to get to know Tuscany and at the same time the province of Arezzo, this wonderful location should be chosen as your holiday destination.
In the Relais Santa Margherita near the little town of Castelluccio di Capolona, you will find the ideal location "tra i due mari" (between the two seas). From here you can take day trips to the Maremma coast by Follonica or to the Adriatic coast by Rimini (between 2 and 2.5 hours).
In addition, the nearby region of Umbria with its art historically relevant localities such as Città di Castello, Gubbio, Perugia, Spoleto and Assisi also offer many sights.
The town of Arezzo is not as well-known as its famous sisters Florence and Siena (which both can be reached in one hour) with its beautiful medieval city center, but it can certainly keep up with history and art history.
The Relais Santa Margherita is an ancient palace, which once was the summer domicile of the noble Bacci family. The current owners have restored the house to a high standard, so that today it is again glorious in its Renaissance splendor. The total of 7 holiday apartments are located on the first and second floor of the central part of the building. On the ground floor, next to the office, we find a reception room and a café bar, where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning and an aperitifs in the evening. In the summer, the barbeque is laid out outside the beautiful pool (19 x 8.50 m) .
There is also a barbecue and a pizza oven on the approx. 5 hectares of fenced property. In addition, there are sufficient seating groups in the garden, so that every guest can find his favorite place to spend leisurely hours outdoors.
In the summer of 2012, a restaurant was opened in an annex, where regional specialties are on the menu.
To Arezzo is about 7 km, to Cortona about 35 km, to Siena about 70 km, to Florence about 80 km and to Perugia about 97 km. A nice excursion destination is also the lake "Lago di Trasimeno".
The attentive hostess Claudia and her nice team are looking forward to indulge their guests. All apartments are stylish and elegant.
First floor - the apartment is reached via an external stone staircase from the park of the holiday complex. A small hallway, a few steps lead down to the large eat-in kitchen with a sofa and an open fireplace. From a hallway you reach the two bathrooms and the three double bedrooms. In the villa's park area, gazebos with tables and chairs are available for guests to spend time outdoors.

Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot he give definite information about it.
The landlady is exceptionally nice and hospitable. In Arezzo, twice a year, a town festival takes place in medieval costumes, on the penultimate Saturday in June and on the first Sunday in September. The most famous Tuscan antiques market "Fiera dell 'Antiquariato" takes place on every first Monday of the month.
The small country road (no long-distance traffic!) leads directly below the house, therefore you may hear some traffic noise sometimes.
Wir waren für 9 Nächte im Apartment giglio im Santa Magherita. Es sind wunderschön eingerichtete Zimmer, in denen man sich super gut selbst verpflegen kann. Es gibt ein riesiges aussengelände mit Pool, Bar und chillout Areas, in der jeder seine Ruheoase findet. Es umgeben einen Hauskatzen und die Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Arezzo ist nur 20 min entfernt und sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Auch die Fattoria la vialla ist von hier nur 10 min entfernt. Alles in allem ein super empfehlenswerte Unterkunft in der man wunderschöne Ausblicke genießen und Erholung finden kann. Es gibt zwar auch ein Restaurant direkt an der Unterkunft, leider war jeden Abend eine andere Geschlossene Gesellschaft zugegen und wenn nicht, hatte es geschlossen.

Hallo Jutta und Eva, nachdem wir in den letzten Jahren schon viel von der Toscana kennengelernt haben, besuchten wir in diesem Urlaub für eine Woche das Relais Santa Margherita bei Arezzo. Das Haus liegt wunderschön in einem parkähnlichen sehr gepflegten Anwesen. Das renovierte historische Gebäude ist stilvoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Eigentümer haben uns herzlich empfangen, waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Poolanlage bietet für alle Besucher einen schattigen Platz, dezente Hintergrundmusik und eine Poolbar. Vom Relais Santa Margherita konnten wir viele interessante Ausflüge in die Umgebung machen, z.B. Arezzo, Poppi, Anghiari. Das Resaurant auf dem Gelände trug mit dazu bei, dass wir eine wunderbare Urlaubswoche verbringen konnten. Vielen Dank für den Tipp.

Meine Familie und ich (2 Erw. und Kind 9 J.) waren im Juli 2013 für neun Tage zu Gast in dieser sehr schönen und besonderen Unterkunft. Alles war sehr geplegt, sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sofort zu Hause gefühlt, nicht zuletzt auch wegen der ausgesprochen netten Hausdame Claudia, die bei allen Fragen und Anliegen sehr bemüht und hilfreich zur Seite stand. Auch die Außenanlage ist sehr geplegt und großzügig angelegt. Zu empfehlen ist das angegliederte Restaurant, in dem wir hervorragend gegessen haben zu absolut moderaten Preisen.
