To the chirping of cicadas and the scent of rosemary, sage and wild fennel? To beautiful colors of poppies, sunflower fields and broom bushes in the landscape, as if one of the great Impressionists is performing his brush stroke every day in nature?
Ups ... there is still something missing to finish these pictures ... right ... a good drop of wine, ruby red or cereal yellow, fruity yet full-bodied. Have we awakened your senses? If you want to live this experience, then you should spend your holiday far from of the famous tourist trails.
In the Salustri winery, whose lands comprise approximately 250 hectares, is located in the municipality of Cinigiano. There are available 6 beautiful holiday accommodations of different sizes. The buildings of this farm, whose Montecucco DOC wine has already been awarded several times, lie on the top of a hill, offering a breathtaking panorama. On the one hand the view spacious over the valleys between Montalcino and Monte Amiata, on the other side over the plain until the coast of Grosseto.
The Salustri family is characterized by genuine hospitality and invites the guests to taste the wine and also sausage specialties during their stay. The pigs (Cinta Senese) are kept in a forest area belonging to the property and are distinguished by their particularly aromatic meat.
The holiday resort also has a large communal garden, a wonderful sun terrace in a splendid panoramic position, as well as an indoor swimming pool (10 x 5 m) whose large window facades can be opened in summer.
The nearest village Poggi del Sasso can be reached on foot (just 1 km). There is a small grocery store where you can buy fresh bread and everything you need for great breakfast. Near the shop you find a small caffe bar, where you can enjoy a cappuccino or an aperitif.
The coast by Marina di Grosseto is about 40 minutes by car. The famous towns of Montalcino and Siena can be reached in about 45 or 60 minutes.
The apartment is located on the ground floor building with a total of 2 units: a living room, a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower/WC, terrace with a panoramic view.

From there you reach the small roof terrace, which offers a beautiful view towards the coast. At the second floor, which you reach by the same staircase, we find a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower/WC.
First floor in the main building (above the reception): external staircase, separate entrance, kitchen, living room with sofa bed for one child (instead of the sleeping sofa can also be placed an extra bed in one of the two bedrooms), one double room, one bedroom with 2 single beds, 2 bathrooms with shower/WC, very large roof terrace (approx. 100 sqm).
The house is situated near by the apartments Il Mammolo and Il Ciliegio: a spacious living room, three double bedrooms (one double bed can be separated in 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms with shower/WC, nice terrace.
This two-storey apartment is located between the reception and the wine cellar and has a fenced, private garden. It consists of a well-equipped kitchen and a living room with an open gallery with a double bed and a private bathroom with shower/WC. On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower/WC.

The final cleaning, bed linen and towels are included. Extra bed (only possible where there is enough space) € 50,- per week. Extra charge for one pet € 50,- for week. Use of washing machine € 5,-. The use of the air conditioning is included in the price from 6th July to 31th August 2023, while for the other months - if required - € 15,- per day for Il Mammolo, Il Ciliegiolo and Il Vermentino and € 22,- per day for Santa Marta, Il Mandorlo and Le Grotte Rosse will be calculated.Heating costs are extra to pay. Deposit € 150,- per apartment.
Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot he give definite information about it.
Very nice panoramic position / there is a vegetable garden in which the guests may harvest seasonal vegetables for their own needs.
The last part of the access road is gravelled and may be dusty in the summer.
Guten Morgen, Wir sind vorgestern im wunderschönen Il Mandorlo angekommen. Obwohl mein Mann noch einen Bienenstich mit allergischer Reaktion mitgenommen hat und kaum aus den Augen gucken kann, sind wir losgefahren und haben es nicht bereut! Herzlichen Dank nochmal für den Tipp für dieses wunderschöne Agriturismo! Die Kinder sind glücklich im Pool und wir genießen die Sonne auf der Terrasse. Liebe Frau Hens, liebe Frau Gramatke, es hat alles prima geklappt, Ihre Beschreibung war super, aber als Geographen haben wir auch so mit Karte und der hervorragenden Beschilderung problemlos hin gefunden.
