This farm with it's 17 hectares large property is located at the feet of the of the small mountain village Gavorrano. There are 5 apartments and two single houses available to the guests. The former agricultural buildings are arranged around the main house, which history dates back to the year 1860 and in which lives also the landlord's family.
On the property grow about 5000 olive trees, from which fruits is won an excellent virgin olive oil. During the renovation of the buildings was been taken care to preserve the original character of the Tuscan country house.
The accommodations are furnished in rustic and holiday style. In the garden there is a beautiful, kidney shaped pool (8x12 m), where you can relax. But also in the large communal garden everyone will quickly find his privileged place, in the shadow of the centuries old olive trees, in the arbor or on the large green area.
Nearby there is a small restaurant/pizzeria (about 1.5 km), which is also within walking distance. For shopping you can either go to the small village of Bagno di Gavorrano (there is a large supermarket) or directly to Gavorrano. In both towns there is a bank, a post office, a magazine kiosk, restaurants, breakfast bars and numerous small shops.
To the sea and to the marina of Puntone di Scarlino as well as to Follonica is about 14 km, to Punta Ala about 28 km, to the former fishing village Castiglione della Pescaia with its long sandy beaches about 29 km and to the medieval town Massa Marittima about 22 km. But also the famous cities of Siena (about 100 km), Pisa (about 125 km), Florence (about 170 km) or Arezzo (about 180 km) are possible to reach on day trips. The landlord's family is always happy to provide tips and information to their guests.

Nice and quiet location. Very nice landlord family. Ideal holiday home for families. Guests can pick fresh vegetables and kitchen herbs from the garden and will find a welcome greeting in the holiday home when they arrive.
Quite small refrigerators in all accommodations.
Als erstes möchten wir uns bedanken, dass unsere Spontanurlaub in die Toskana so gut geklappt hatte. Wir sind im Agriturismo Podere Valdo herzlichst empfangen worden, durch Sandra und Paolo. Das große Grundstück bietet, besonders in der Nachsaison, Ruhe und Erholung. Der Poolbereich ist schön gestaltet und man kann im Sommer zwischen Sonne- und Schattenplätzen auswählen. Wir hatten das Einzelhäuschen Frantoio gemietet, welches Platz genug für ca. 3 Personen bietet. Mit Bettwäsche und Handtüchern waren wir sehr gut ausgestattet worden. Die Küche ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und wie das ganze Ferienhaus sauber. Besonders Sandra verpflegte uns mit Trauben, Eiern, Öl, Marmeladen, Honig und Obst. Es leben dort auch 2 Hunde, die die Wohnungen nicht betreten, aber gerne mit dem Ball spielen oder sich nur kraulen lassen wollen, aber es wird nachgefragt ob es den Urlaubern recht ist +++. Somit kann man den großen Hund mit dem Namen Steven ins Herz schließen. Das Podere Valdo liegt etwas abgeschieden und ist für Urlaub mit dem Auto geeignet. Zu den Stränden sind es etwa 15 Minuten, ebenso nach Follonica, Massa Marritima ist ca. 25 Minuten entfernt. Wir hatten zum Glück unseren großen Bialetti Kaffeekocher mit, der vor Ort war recht klein (wir haben das schon öfters so erlebt). Das Sandra fast nur italienisch spricht ist nicht schlimm, so erhöhte sich unser Sprachschatz und Dank Google und Wörterbücher findet man schnell die richtigen Worte. Danke an Sandra und Paolo und Danke an ToskanaSi (insgesamt der 3te Urlaub) und die Toskana ist immer eine Reise wert. Dietmar und Anette aus Düsseldorf.
