In the municipality of Roccastrada below the old mountain village of Montemassi is this small, owner-managed agriturismo. The holiday guests will find a pretty detached house and a two-story apartment, each with a private garden area. Three pretty guest rooms and a breakfast room have been set up in a new annex.
A small, round community pool (about 5 m Ø) was cleverly embedded into the landscape. The hillside location affords wonderful views of the vineyards, olive groves, fields and the ancient village of Montemassi that rises on a hill on the other side of the valley.
The very nice hosts Daniela and Sirio live in the main house and operate wine and olive growings.
After previous registration you can take part in a wine tasting with a small snack. For smaller groups (6 to 12 people) it is also possible to order a typical Maremman dinner. This is served in the authentic and rustic wine cellar "Cantina".
For shopping you drive to Ribolla (about 3.5 km), where there is a supermarket, small shops, restaurants and coffee bars. Siena is about 67 km away, to Florence it is about 136 km. The sea can be reached in less than half an hour's drive either in Follonica or Castiglione della Pescaia.
Detached house - kitchen with sofa bed for 1 child, left hand is a small hall, from which you reach a bathroom with shower/WC and a bedroom with a French bed (width 1.40 m). Right of the kitchen is the second bedroom with extra bed and private bath with shower/WC. In front of the kitchen you find a private garden area with outdoor seating.
In the main building - small entrance, on the left you enter the kitchen with exit to the terrace and a sofa bed for 1 child. One step leads down to the double bedroom with an extra bed and a private bathroom with shower/WC. A stone staircase in the entrance area reaches the first floor with another double bedroom with an extra bed and private bathroom with shower/WC. The patio and the private garden area can be reached from the kitchen.
Three ground floor double rooms, each with a private bathroom with shower/WC. Private patio with table and 2 chairs. Breathtaking view of the hills. Breakfast is served in the separate breakfast room or on the common terrace of the guest house, weather permitting. An extra bed for one child under 13 years is possible. Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot he give definite information about it.
Both from the pool area, as well as from the two terraces of the accommodations you can enjoy a beautiful view of the ancient village of Montemassi. Direct sale of wine and olive oil from own cultivation.
The last section of the access road is a bit bumpy, but passable with every normal cars.
