You will find your holiday home for high demands in the Relais Vedetta, which only opened a few years ago. The former farmhouse, located on a wooded hill partly covered with ancient olive trees in the municipality of Scarlino, has been extensively restored by the Barberini family with great attention to detail.
Each of the spacious guest rooms has been individually furnished by Anna Barberini with a mix of antique family heirlooms and modern designer furniture. She also demonstrated a sense of style and creativity when furnishing the extraordinary bathrooms. When looking for suitable names for the rooms, Anna was inspired by her family's old photo albums.
Now each room is dedicated to a “personaggio” from the past, which is also reflected in the enlargements of some old photos that now adorn the walls of the rooms. One of the rooms is on the ground floor, the other rooms can be reached from the breakfast room via a wine-red glass staircase that leads up to the first and second floor.
Depending on the season, breakfast is served in the beautiful lounge with its natural stone walls or on the beautiful covered veranda.
From the garden you can enjoy a magnificent view of the valley, which in some places extends to the sea and the Elba island in front of it.
The kidney-shaped pool nestles in the lower garden area and was made from particolary natural materials.
For shopping you can go to Scarlino Scalo, it is approx. 5 km, the nearest beach you can reach is between Puntone and Follonica also approx. 5 km.

When making your reservation, you can already specify your music preferences for the iPod / you can choose between feather pillows, anti-allergy pillows or cervical support pillows / this holiday home has received the rating "eco-friendly", since environmental protection was a priority during the renovation of the house in that all the materials used come from a maximum radius of 100 km and, among other things, solar cells were installed for water heating.
