In the municipality of Sassetta, far away from the usual tourist trails and yet so close to the beautiful sandy beaches of Tuscany and the many places worth seeing, is this lavishly restored holiday complex. The area belongs to the Val di Cornia, an area that was formerly populated by the Etruscans.
When Lucia and her husband discovered the ruins of the ancient mill from the 18th century in the middle of a grove of chestnuts and oaks, they immediately fell in love with this magical place. With great effort and using natural building materials, they have created a little holiday paradise that is divided into three different buildings.
Our guests have 4 of the 6 comfortable holiday apartments at their disposal, all of which have been furnished individually and with great attention to detail in a country house style. Each accommodation has a small, private garden area, which was carefully planted to embellish it with local, Mediterranean herbs and shrubs, the soothing scents of which beguile the senses (and at the same time drive away mosquitoes, for example). A shady seat with table and chairs also belongs in each of the small gardens.
The center of the extensive community garden is formed by two pools. The larger of the two is 12 m long and 6 m wide with a water depth of around 1.40 m, while the smaller one is reserved for children (90 cm depth - no paddling pool!). At the edge of the forest there is a small children's playground with a sandpit, slide and swing. There are benches in the shade of the trees so that parents can find a quiet place near their little ones.
The holiday guests can find out about events in the summer months, the opening times of the amusement parks and museums and the sights in the surrounding area in the facility's office. The restaurant in the La Cerreta estate can be reached on foot (but equipped with a torch in the evening). The majority of the delicious dishes in the kitchen are prepared from our own organic cultivation and from our own sustainable animal breeding. This estate also includes the "Terme di Sassetta", a wonderful place where you can relax in the midst of intact nature in various thermal pools with a water temperature between 34 ° C and 36 ° C.
The beaches of Marina di Castagneto di Carducci (approx. 18 km), Marina di Bibbona (approx. 25 km), San Vincenzo (approx. 22 km) and the Bay of Baratti (approx. 34 km) are all close enough to so that you can go to the sea several times a week without much effort.
The well-known art-historical cities such as Lucca (approx. 112 km), Pisa (approx. 92 km), Florence (approx. 132 km), Volterra (approx. 57 km), San Gimignano (approx. 87 km) and Siena (approx. 104 km) beckon with their unique architectural beauty.
But there are also numerous small towns that are well worth a trip: Sassetta (approx. 3 km), Querceto (approx. 32 km), Suvereto (approx. 17 km), Bolgheri with the famous cypress alley (approx. 23 km) and many more.
Nearby is the famous "Cavallino Matto" amusement park (approx. 17 km), which should be of particular interest to families.

Final cleaning, bed linen and towels are included. Additional linen change and intermediate cleaning (excluding the kitchen area) on request € 60. Additional bed € 10 per day (only possible in apartments La Torretta and La Terrazza). Cots and high chairs can be hired on request for € 20 per stay. Surcharge for dogs € 5 per day (max. € 50 per stay). Breakfast can be booked on site for € 20 per person per day. Dinner in the restaurant opposite the facility can be reserved on site (fixed price of € 40 per person, drinks not included). Deposit € 200 per apartment.
Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot give definite information about it.
Direct sales of the excellent, in-house IGP olive oil. Very tastefully and individually furnished holiday apartments. Delivery and collection service to the bike rental in Sassetta (for a fee). If you wish, the first weekly shopping can be done so that you will find everything you need in your holiday apartment upon arrival (for a fee). Opposite the resort there is a restaurant where guests can have dinner for a fixed price of € 40 per person (excluding drinks).
The road to the sea is sometimes very winding. The restaurant only accepts children over 12 years old.
