If you only know Tuscany from calendar photos, you will recognize many of the typical motifs in the area around San Giovanni d’Asso (in the famous municipal area of Montalcino). The medieval town with its castle fortress is located in the middle of the famous hilly landscape Crete Senesi. The town has also achieved worldwide fame as a gastronomic fair for white truffles, a specialty of the area, has been held in its city walls for many years in November.
Signora Angela, whose parents moved from Sardinia to Tuscany more than 40 years ago, has long since lost her heart to this beautiful area. With great attention to detail and traditional construction, she and her family have rebuilt a half-ruined homestead.
In the beautiful stone house, 2 spacious and attractively furnished holiday apartments have been set up. A third apartment was rented out privately. Since both holiday homes have 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, Podere Montechiari is particularly suitable for befriended couples who want to explore Tuscany and the nearby Umbria and are looking for a well-kept, beautiful accommodation.
After the day trips you can enjoy the unique panoramic view in the garden in the light of the evening sun. There is also the possibility of barbecuing in the garden.
It is 44 km to Siena, 19 km to Montalcino (famous for its wonderful wine) and 20 km to the Bagno Vignoni thermal baths.
The apartments are both individually and rustically furnished and have particularly beautiful bathrooms.
Separate entrance, ground floor: a spacious living room with fireplace, a kitchen which is separated from the living room by an open arch, a double room, a bedroom with two single beds, two bathrooms with shower / toilet. Outdoor seating with a shade roof in the garden.

Final cleaning, bed linen and towels are included. Additional bed € 140 per week. Cot for children under 3 years free of charge. Surcharge for dogs € 70 per week. The heating costs (GPL liquid gas) are billed according to the meter reading. Firewood € 5 per box. Deposit € 150 per apartment.
Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot he give definite information about it.
All-round panorama / very hospitable landlady / nearby there is a riding stable with a German-speaking riding instructor who also organizes carriage rides.
The last 3 km of the access road are unpaved and a bit bumpy in places.
