This luxurious villa is in a wonderfully quiet location, surrounded by a 20,000 sqm garden, near the village of San Casciano dei Bagni. The entire property extends over 6 hectares and consists mostly of forests. The villa was built in 1789 and has been expanded over the years until it recently underwent a complete restoration.
The result is a modern country estate that has remained true to its original character through the use of natural materials from the region such as oak beams, terracotta floors and travertine stone.
The country house is spread over two floors and offers accommodation in 6 individually designed double bedrooms, all with their own private bathroom. There is a seventh bedroom with two single beds, which is often used as a children's room. A successful mix of Tuscan country house style and modern designer furniture creates an appealing atmosphere in which guests quickly feel at home.
The heart of the extensive park is the wonderful pool (15 x 8 m), which nestles in the mostly natural forest property (for the safety of the guests, the pool area is completely fenced). Here everyone will quickly find their favorite spot for sunbathing by the pool or with a book in the shade of the old trees. On hot summer days, the pool provides pleasant cooling and in the cooler seasons, the water can also be heated if desired.
In the low season, when summer has not yet started or is already over, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the house, enriched by the warmth of the fireplaces in the common areas and living rooms.
Anyone who wants to forget everyday life and immerse themselves in a new dimension will find rest and relaxation in Villa Vetrichina.
Guests who also want to indulge in culinary delights can take advantage of the services of the Chef Francesco, who prepares tasty, authentic dishes of the Tuscan tradition. In an outbuilding, Francesco has set up a cooking school where he offers cooking classes for the guests of the villa. There is also a wood-fired oven for pizza and plenty of space for tasting local wines and produce.
The holidaymakers' four-legged family members are also very welcome at Villa Vetrichina. The two dogs Silver and Diana belong to the team of the very animal-loving owners.
Depending on availability, it is also possible to rent only a guest room with breakfast or a suite consisting of two bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and a living room. There is also a family suite consisting of two double bedrooms (each with an en-suite bathroom) and one twin bedroom and a living room. Price on request.
Located in an outbuilding, a little apart from the villa. Ground floor. This suite is created by combining the two double rooms Il Pizzo and La Turquesa (both with private bathroom) and the studio in between with exit to the garden.
Ground floor. This suite is created by joining the two double rooms Le Papere and I Sogni D'Oro (both with private bathroom) and the studio in between. On request and for a surcharge, the adjoining children's room with two Monello single beds can be booked.
First floor. This suite is created by joining the two double rooms La Dama Bianca and I Barone Rosso (each with a private bathroom) and the large fireplace room in between.

Final cleaning, bed linen (every Saturday), towels (every Wednesday and Saturday) and a pool towel per guest (every 2 days) are included. Upon request and by arrangement, Chef Francesco is available to prepare all meals. In addition, cooking courses, family and anniversary celebrations, Easter, Christmas or New Year's Eve celebrations, weddings and honeymoons or pizza evenings can be organised. The preparation of special menus for food or gluten intolerance as well as for vegans is possible. Yoga courses, massages, guided hiking and cycling tours in the area can be organized upon request and at a surcharge.
