The farm of the Pisani family is just a few kilometers outside of the popular seaside resort of Castiglione della Pescaia, between the two outskirts of Pian di Rocca and Rochette. The fenced property is surrounded by meadows, olive groves and artichoke fields.
In the outbuilding in the form of a terraced house, three residential units, each with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, have been set up for holiday guests. The apartments extend over two levels and have both a terrace and a balcony.
The sisters Anna and Antonella live with their families and the likeable Jack Russell Otto in the opposite main building. They take great care of their guests and are always available to offer advice and practical help and lots of insider tips.
The beautiful sandy beach, which stretches from Rochette to Castiglione della Pescaia, can be easily reached on foot (approx. 1.5 km). There are both free areas and bathing establishments with bars and restaurants where you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas. The way there leads past a tobacconist and newsagent and a hotel complex with a small supermarket. Here you can get everything you need for breakfast or a quick lunchtime snack. On the Rocchette road there are also several greengrocers who sell their freshly picked produce from the Pian di Rocca vineyards every day.
If you take your bike with you on holiday or rent one on site, you can reach the town center in about 15 to 20 minutes. The pedestrian/bicycle path that connects Rochette to Castiglione della Pescaia was renewed in 2022. From mid-June to mid-September, small shuttle buses also run regularly back and forth between Rochette and the town centre.
So you don't necessarily need a car to reach the seaside resort in the evening for a relaxed stroll in the harbor or in the romantic old town.
There is a wide range of restaurants, snack bars and shops. For shopping you drive to the small shopping center with a well-stocked supermarket or to the two discounters in town (distance about 6.5 km).
The provincial capital Grosseto is approx. 30 km away and the lively coastal town of Follonica approx. 19 km.
The nearest trattoria/pizzeria is in the nearby ancient hamlet of Pian di Rocca, which is about 1 km away. If you go there on foot in the evening, you should definitely have a flashlight with you, as the street is not lit. A fish restaurant popular with holidaymakers and locals alike, where Toscana Sì customers are granted a special customer discount, is only approx. 1.9 km away from the apartments.

Final cleaning included. Bed linen and towels can be rented for € 10 per person. The use of the air conditioning is included. Heating costs will be charged extra (only if required). Use of the washing machine € 5 per wash (incl. detergent). Deposit € 200 per apartment.
Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot give definite information about it.
The quiet location and the proximity to the beach and the village makes this family-run holiday complex the ideal holiday home. Restaurants and beach bars are within walking distance. Very nice landlord family.
There is very little work space in the kitchen. Dogs are allowed only in low season.
