Finally the time has come...

In mid-November, fresh olive oil from the 2018 harvest is already available in many parts of Tuscany.
Everyone is looking forward to taste the new native olive oil. Green color with golden reflections, it tastes fruity and a bit harsh. It will be tasted on a slice of white Tuscan bread, which is rigorously baked without salt (yes, with time you get used to it and then you love it ;-)).
By the way, the typical Tuscan bruschetta is prepared without tomatoes: the white bread slices are roasted on the charcoal grill, in the oven or in the toaster, rubbed with a clove of garlic and poured over with a first-class, cold-pressed olive oil. Finally, sprinkle some salt over it.
La bruschetta è pronta!
