Nestled in the beautiful Mediterranean landscape near Istia d'Ombrone in the southern municipal area of Grosseto you find the small holiday complex Agriturismo Elfo. It is an antique mill that has been converted by the present owners and turned into a small holiday paradise.
Behind the main house, where there are two holiday accommodation and one private apartment, are the imposing remains of a century-old aqueduct, which served as a water conduit for the operation of the mill wheel. A bit hidden at the creek shore is a single house, which can also be booked by holidaymakers.
The large communal garden, which is also the fenced pool (12 x 6 m), has a fairy tale due to its old trees and plant diversity. This also explains the choice of the names of the three romantic holiday accommodations, all individually and partly furnished with antique details: Fata, Elfo and Folletto (fairy, elf and goblin).
To the sea to Marina di Grosseto it is about 23 km, to the nature park "Parco dell'Uccellina" and to shopping in the city center Grosseto about 10 km, to the nearest restaurant in Istia d'Ombrone about 5 km.
Main house - ground floor - separate entrance from the terrace: a large living area with fireplace. The sleeping area with a double bed is optically separated, but no closed space (additional bed possible for one child only for the age between 13 and 16 years). Furthermore, there is a small kitchen with a large panorama window to the forest and a bathroom with bathtub/WC.
Main house - high ground floor - a few steps leave to the entrance: the apartment consists of a living room with fireplace and sofa bed for one child, a double bedroom and a bathroom with bath tub/WC. Below the external staircase there is a private dining area under a tent pavilion and a barbecue.
Separate house in a very romantic position near the banks of the river and forest edge, it consists of an open kitchen, a living room with fireplace, a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds and 2 bathrooms with shower/WC. In front of the house there is a terrace with dining area under a pavilion and a barbecue.

Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be introduced from one day to the next, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì cannot give definite information about it.
There are many shady places in the wonderful community garden where you can relax on the hot summer days.
The last part of the access road is a dirt road, which is a bit dusty in the summer.
Hallo Toscana Si, vor 2 Jahren hatten wir in Istia d’Ombrone das Häuschen Elfo gemietet, in welchem wir gemeinsam mit Freunden einen traumhaften Urlaub verbrachten. Die Vermieterinnen samt Haushund waren reizend und zugleich sehr diskret. Der Pool war die Wucht, sowie eigentlich alles an diesem Urlaubsdomizil. Umso mehr, da wir die meiste Zeit die einzigen Gäste waren. Wir alle schwärmen immer noch und immer wieder davon. Damals haben wir hauptsächlich die diversen Strände erkundet, dieses Jahr lockt sozusagen Stadt und Land. Das wollten wir Ihnen noch berichten, auch wenn es schon eine Weile her ist, aber eben immer noch sehr präsent. Tanti saluti Susanne und Werner
