Il Casale Saturnia (Grosseto)

The country house is located below the ancient town of Saturnia, known for its hot thermal springs, in the municipality of Grosseto, in southern Tuscany.
It lies on a slope and offers a wonderful view of the surrounding meadows and forests, olive groves and vineyards.
In the garden there is a beautiful pool with three different depths available to guests. Everyone will quickly find their favorite spot here, on the sun loungers at the edge of the pool or in the shade of the old holm oaks.
At the top of the house there is a large, shaded terrace with sofas and armchairs, from which you can look out over the pool to the landscape and in the evening you can enjoy wonderful sunsets with a good glass of wine.
On the lower level of the house there are various communal areas, living and reading rooms with open fireplaces and a very large separate kitchen. The rooms are spacious and have exposed wooden beams: common areas, fireplaces, the breakfast and dining room, spacious and well-appointed spaces for outdoor living.
A wonderful glazed veranda makes the ambience bright and friendly and becomes a cozy living space with a wonderful view over the wooded valley in the cooler seasons. Guests like to gather at the large dining table for breakfast or for lunch or dinner together, and you can relax in the comfortable sofa corners.
A stone staircase leads to the sleeping area on the upper floor. Additional bedrooms are located in the basement and in a small extension. The furnishings are a successful mix of Tuscan country house style and modern art objects, which ensure a pleasant, homely atmosphere. Since the house was built on a slope, two bedrooms could be set up in the basement, each with a separate exit to the garden.
On the green area in front of the house entrance there is a vegetable garden and a barbecue area with a rustic wooden table and benches. A pretty covered wooden structure with a paved floor and climbing rose bushes, invites to outdoor dinings and celebrations.
Il Casale is the ideal holiday home for large families or groups. A few hundred meters away is the small group of houses Il Borghetto, which also belongs to the holiday complex.
The famous hot waterfalls of Saturnia (constant 37.5°C) are about 4.5 km from Il Casale. The thermal bath with spa center can be reached after about 3.5 km. There are various thermal pools and treatments such as massages and fango packs are offered.
It is about 1.3 km on foot to the small town of Saturnia and about 2 km by car. For shopping, the best place to go is Manciano (approx. 15 km), there are a few supermarkets and a range of different shops. The provincial capital of Grosseto is around 59 km away and the sea at Albinia is around 50 km away.
