Il Borghetto Saturnia (Grosseto)

This small group of three holiday homes is situated below the medieval village of Saturnia in the province of Grosseto in southern Tuscany.
The buildings nestle in the picturesque landscape of meadows and forests, fields of sunflowers and grain, as well as vineyards and olive groves.
From the houses situated on the slope, the view sweeps over the natural garden with the beautiful pool and loses itself in the gentle hills, which enchant the viewer with ever new colors in every season.
The small natural stone cottage La Casetta for two people, Il Villino with 2 bedrooms and Il Casaletto with a total of 4 bedrooms are available to guests. The accommodations are simple and furnished in a Tuscan country house style and each has a private garden area with enough privacy.
A little further up the hill, a large gazebo was created with an open wooden veranda, on which comfortable sofas made of wooden pallets were placed. This pergola is available to all guests as a common room. There is a large brick barbecue, a long wooden table with benches under the trees, where large groups can comfortably eat together. If it should be a bit fresher in the evening, you can also dine at the tables under the wooden roof.
There is a parking lot for cars in the lower part of the site.
The famous hot waterfalls of Saturnia (constant 37.5°C) are about 4.5 km from Il Borghetto. The thermal bath with spa center can be reached after about 3.5 km. There are various thermal pools and treatments such as massages and fango packs are offered.
Those who like to run can reach the small town of Saturnia in about 20 minutes on foot (about 1.3 km), by car it is about 2 km. Here you will find some coffee bars, restaurants and a few small shops. The best place to go shopping is Manciano (approx. 15 km), there are a few supermarkets and grocery stores.
The provincial capital of Grosseto is around 59 km away and the sea at Albinia is around 50 km away.
Il Borghetto is the ideal holiday home for large families or groups and is part of the restored country house Il Casale, which is set back on the large property.
