This is a very beautiful, restored farmhouse at Bivio Montorgiali (between Scansano and Istia d'Ombrone). For our guest there are 2 holiday apartments (two in the main house and one in an adjacent building). On the property there are also two small single houses, which ar sometimes used by the owner family.
The swimming pool (4,5 x 9 m) in the garden ensures for the necessary refreshment in the summer. The car parking place is located on the area in front of the garden.
There is a path through an olive grove upon a hill. There the guests will find a breathtaking panorama. On particularly clear days the view reaches the sea side.
To the thermal bathes of Saturnia it is about 25 km, to the city Grosseto about 20 km, to the coast (Marina di Grosseto) about 34 km. By foot you can reach at Bivio Montorgiali a typical trattoria with very good sea food and a pizzeria.

The final cleaning is not charged extra, if the kitchen will be left clean (also in the dishwasher no dirty dishes!), otherwise € 35, - will be charged. Bed linen and towels can be brought from home or rented for extra change. In the cold months the heating costs (only if necessary) are calculated according to consumption. Extra charge for pets € 35,- for week. Firewood € 8,- per box. Security deposit € 200,- per apartment.
Note: Every Italian municipal administration can introduce a tourist tax. Because this additional levy can be levied from one day to another, and varies from place to place, Toscana Sì can not provide any binding information.
Ideal starting point for excursions to the more unknown part of Tuscany and Lazio.
The garden is not very large.

Wir haben einen Türgriff kaputtgemacht, was wir selbstverständlich gleich gemeldet haben, und es gab keine Abrechnung oder ähnliches. Ich werde Toscana Si sicher nicht zum letzten Mal um eine Unterkunft befragt haben. Hallo Frau Hens, hallo Frau Gramatke, auf diesem Weg möchten wir Ihnen (besser spät wie gar nicht, der „Alltag“ hatte uns doch wieder arg schnell am Wickel) mitteilen, dass es uns in der Podere La Sorgente sehr, sehr gut gefallen hat. Da wir italienisch sprechen und uns (sprich die Männer) sehr für Fußball interessieren und wir ja auch Toskana-Kenner (10 x Urlaub dort) sind, war das Eis mit den Gastgebern (jun. und sen.) schnell gebrochen. Und für uns war es tatsächlich das erste Mal, dass wir zum Essen laufen konnten, d.h. die Pizzeria in Montorgiali war ideal (so konnten wir den Hauswein richtig genießen…). Die Lage von Podere La Sorgente ist herrlich, allein die Sonnenuntergänge sind das Geld wert… Grüße aus Stuttgart von Familie Müller

Wir hatten tolle Tage in Pordere la Sorgente. Nachdem wir zwei mal in San Ottaviano (Montorotondo Marittimo) waren, zog es uns dies Jahr mal in den Süden. Auch hier fanden wir wieder eine schöne Anlage mit sehr netten Vermietern vor. Obwohl der Garten an der Wohnung sehr klein war, gab es noch einen zusätzlichen Garten hinter einem Olivenhain, von der man eine wunderschöne Aussicht hatte und wo wir herrliche Sonnenuntergänge erleben durften. Zwar war der Ort sehr klein, dennoch gab es zwei Restaurants. Ein hervorragendes Fischrestaurant und eine Pizzeria, die man zwar mehr durch Zufall findet, die aber sehr leckere Pizzen bietet. Wer also abseits des Massentourismus seinen Urlaub verbringen möchte und auch einen schönen Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der südlichen Toskana sucht, dem können wir dieses Anwesen nur empfehlen.
