Very close to the small village of Masotti in the municipality of Serravalle Pistoiese, surrounded by a 5,500 square meter park, lies the Villa Il Salicone. The three-storey manor-house is run by the sisters Ilaria and Nicoletta, the descendants of the noble Niccoli family. It has recently been completely restored and is now available for holiday guests, who will soon be charmed by the charm of the ancient villa.
In the large lobby on the ground floor is a beautiful stone staircase that leads up to the upper floors. A TV room and a separate suite, the old kitchen, which now serves as a breakfast room, the new kitchen, which can accommodate up to 20 people, a tavern with exit to the romantic courtyard and the entrance to the wine cellar are located on the ground floor.
On the first floor, also called "Nobel Etage", there are several large and smaller festive and dining rooms, such as the particularly beautiful "Salone della Caccia" (Hunting Salon).
On the second floor there is the splendid salon "Sala della Musica" (Music Hall), dedicated to the tenor Egisto Niccoli, one of the ancestors of the noble family. On the south side are the two generous Siutes "Elvira" and "Contessa D'Amalfi". The other three bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, are located on the north side of the building. The floors and wall coverings of the bathrooms are made of travertine.
In the park in front of the villa are tables and chairs where guests can dine in the shade of the old trees. The sun loungers and deckchairs can be placed as required in the sunny or shady corners of the green areas.
The pool (12 x 6 m), which is available to the holiday guests of the villa for exclusive use, is located just outside the park on a hill at the edge of the forest. Here, guests can sunbathe undisturbed and refreshed in the water on hot summer days.
The woods and fields that surround the property invite you to beautiful walks in nature. For sports enthusiasts, there is a horse farm nearby (2 km), a tennis court (4 km) and even a golf course (8 km). The famous thermal baths of Montecatini Terme are only 9 km away and definitely worth a visit.
In the small village of Masotti, which is within walking distance, there is a grocery store, a butcher, a restaurant, a pizzeria, a bar, a bakery, an ice cream parlor, a bank and a pharmacy.
The city of Pistoia is about 6 km away and can be reached quickly by car. Strolling through the beautiful old town you will find numerous shops of every kind as well as trattorias and restaurants, where you can enjoy the regional cuisine.
Day trips to famous cities such as Lucca (36 km), Florence (47 km) and Pisa (55 km) should definitely be part of the holiday program. Who wants to make a detour to the coast, which reaches the beaches of Versilia after about 63 km.

Very nice landlords. Direct sales of wine and olive oil from the own production. Ideal starting point for excursions. There is a riding stable 2 km away.
The nearby village offers everything for your daily needs, but do not invite you to stroll and linger (this is the city of Pistoia with its beautiful old town, which can be reached in a quarter of an hour's drive). The landlords do not accept groups of young people (graduation or birthday parties).
